MC38 Nationals 2016: Day 2 was addictive!

Day 2 of racing for the MC38 Nationals was just addictive. Tactical and tight, all the way around the track, and man was it great to be in amongst the action (plenty of on water footage!).

Today I spoke with Murray Gordon, the tactician from Vino, a new team for him after several seasons with Dark Star. The team managed a win in the first race today.

I then spoke with Boat of the Day, Dark Star, both John Bacon the skipper and Cam Miles the tactician. Was great to chat to them about their work on and off the water to really work on their sailing. Check out my training session with them on Wednesday.

Finally I spoke with Assassin, Clare Crawford and a few of the team including Evan Walker, Klaus Lorenz, James and Alex Gough. They came back well today after an exceptionally tough day yesterday with team member Tom Brewer heading to hospital with a severed finger tip (he is ok and even came to say hello after racing). Assassin led for a lot of race six, to take a second (check out the GoPro footage during the interview where they turned the camera around they were so excited to be leading!)!

Full coverage of the final day tomorrow at www.AdventuresofaSailorGirl.com or on Facebook or all other social media channels @sailorgirl218 – or be sure to check out the on water updates on the MC38 Association Facebook page.

More tomorrow!
