Wicked Weymouth

On return to the 2012 Olympic venue there were quite a few sailors out to prove to the masses, as much as themselves that they have what it takes to take Gold at the next venue.
I caught up with five of the winners, Burling & Tuke (49er, NZL), Marit Bouwmeester (Radial, NED), McNay & Hughes (470M, USA), Mills & Clark (470W, GBR) and Waterhouse & Darmanin (Nacra 17, AUS).
Check out the action below…

Was so great to be back on the Olympic scene, I had forgotten just how much I missed being a competitor myself at that level. But now, just like you guys, I get to live vicariously through the amazing adventurers who are out there trying to win Gold for their countries, their supporters and of course themselves!
It was also fantastic to call into Ben Ainslie Racing in Portsmouth ahead of the AC World Series event at the end of next month. I can’t wait for more of this action, don’t you worry – I will be there!
Next stop Cardiff for the Extreme Sailing Series!
Much love to all who are supporting me to share our awesome sport,
Sailor Girl xx
